Honda Racing thrilled Formula 1 fans by sharing the “roar” of its engine for 2026.
In a post shared on its Instagram page, Honda revealed the sound of the engine that will power the Aston Martin race cars of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll next year.
The audio highlights Honda’s V-6 engine tearing through its gears and showcases some lightning-fast shifts. However, it’s worth emphasizing that it’s unlikely to produce these exact sounds once installed in the car.
Once the engine is paired with the revamped hybrid system of the 2026 Aston Martin race car, it will likely sound more similar to the generation of F1 cars that last raced just this past weekend in Abu Dhabi.
Still, the engine sounds great. Moreover, the clip also renews hopes that the new 50-50 split between combustion and electric power won’t spoil the beloved sound of F1 racing.
